Unisi Hotel Malioboro Celebrates a Decade of Journey with the Spirit of “10 Years of Excellence”
Yogyakarta, September 24, 2026 — Unisi Hotel Malioboro celebrated its 10th anniversary on Thursday, September 24, 2026, under the theme “10 Years of Excellence.” Marking a decade of its journey, the anniversary served as a moment to reflect on the hotel’s commitment to providing quality service while strengthening its dedication to continuous growth and creating memorable experiences for its guests.
The 10th anniversary celebration series began in August 2026 with various activities involving the management and employees of Unisi Hotel Malioboro. The activities included a fun walk, table tennis tournament, and several internal events aimed at strengthening teamwork and togetherness among employees as part of the hotel’s 10th anniversary celebration.
The main anniversary celebration took place on Thursday, September 24, beginning with a thanksgiving ceremony in the afternoon. The event was held as an expression of gratitude for Unisi Hotel Malioboro’s 10-year journey, as well as a prayer for blessings and continued success in the years ahead.
The celebration continued in the evening with a gathering attended by a number of invited guests, including Head of the Yogyakarta Special Region Tourism Office Eling Priswanto, representatives of the Yogyakarta chapter of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Director of PT Unisia Kreasi Sejahtera Dedi R. Yusma, as well as tourism and hospitality stakeholders in Yogyakarta.
The gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships and express appreciation for the support and cooperation that have contributed to Unisi Hotel Malioboro’s journey over the past decade.
Director of PT Unisia Kreasi Sejahtera, Dedi R. Yusma, said that Unisi Hotel Malioboro’s 10-year journey has been marked by various achievements and developments. A number of strategic steps have been taken to strengthen the hotel’s identity, service quality, and sharia-based concept, in line with the vision and mission of the Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII.
“Alhamdulillah, over the past 10 years, we have achieved many milestones. We began our rebranding process in 2022 under the name Unisi Hotel Malioboro. Then, in 2023, we developed the hotel into a three-star property through improvements in service, products, and management quality.
“In 2024, we further strengthened our direction in line with the vision and mission of Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII, which focuses on a sharia-based concept. Alhamdulillah, Unisi Hotel Malioboro became the first hotel in Yogyakarta Special Region to receive Sharia Business Institution certification from the National Sharia Board of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI).
“Then, in August 2026, Unisi Hotel Malioboro was entrusted to represent the Yogyakarta Special Region in the assessment for the Indonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI). This is part of our ongoing journey to strengthen our sharia-based concept and contribute to the development of Muslim-friendly tourism in Yogyakarta.”
Appreciation for Unisi Hotel Malioboro’s decade-long journey was also expressed by Suparman Marzuki, Chairman of the Executive Board of Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII. He said that reaching the age of 10 is an achievement to be grateful for, as Unisi Hotel Malioboro has continued to serve the community while making a positive contribution to Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII.
“Unisi Hotel Malioboro has reached its 10th anniversary. This is an achievement that we should be grateful for. Over the past 10 years, the hotel has provided optimal service to the community and made a very positive contribution to Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII. We hope and expect the management, both the directors and commissioners, to work even harder in the years ahead, as the challenges and opportunities are equally significant.”
He added that the management of Unisi Hotel Malioboro needs to continue strengthening its performance and responding to competition in the hospitality industry in order to further improve service quality and deliver optimal results for Yayasan Badan Wakaf UII.
Head of the Yogyakarta Special Region Tourism Office, Eling Priswanto, also congratulated Unisi Hotel Malioboro on reaching its 10th anniversary. He appreciated the hotel’s contribution to the development of the hospitality industry and tourism sector in Yogyakarta.
